We’re hiring Execution Engineers.

Candidates must be both deeply and broadly skilled — across data, engineering, and front-end/back-end development. It’s not necessary to be an expert in all areas, but you must be thoroughly flexible and willing to learn. Preferred server-side and data analysis language is Python; preferred front-end language is TypeScript.

Integral’s thesis: the frontier of technical innovation is driven by working on the ground, with partner companies that are deeply embedded in the economy. Execution Engineers are fully accountable for delivering on this thesis. This is the only role we hire for, and end-to-end leadership responsibility is expected.

We use the same approach for partner companies in insurance, customer service, and any other field. Foundationally improving a company’s operations requires deeply understanding them, such that we can act with confidence. In turn, this requires building software- and data-driven representations of the partner company. This kind of representation is sometimes called a “digital twin.”

A useful digital twin must be complex, flexible, and reliable. Complex, because companies are complex. Flexible, because business processes are constantly changing. Reliable, because real outcomes are at stake. Thus, constructing these kinds of systems requires a deep dedication to engineering craft; we cannot succeed by sacrificing craftsmanship and maintainability for immediate gain. We’re proud of what we do — all Execution Engineers should carry that pride.
